Grandma may have taught us to make dumplings. That doesn’t mean we remember how. Or make them enough. Let’s have a dumpling party where we chop, saut√©, fill, and fold to our hearts’ content. We’ll make two types of dumplings, a trio of dipping sauces, crunchy greens, and rice. Yes, we’ll (re)learn how to make jasmine rice too!
Class includes take home recipe cards, handmade watercolor fridge magnet recipe, a signature drink and appetizer to keep us fueled throughout the workshop.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
We’re .8 miles from Ashby BART and have plenty of space to store bikes. You should be able to find street parking (no meters nearby!) fairly easily on Alcatraz, Idaho, or Essex Streets.
What should I bring?
Just yourself! We’ll provide the tools and aprons. Perhaps bring a sweater and shades in case we decide to hang outside if the weather is nice.
Do I need to be a cook to attend?
Nope. That’s precisely why these workshops exist. To teach people of all levels to be more comfortable and confident in the kitchen. All are welcome!
